Why I started taking food supplements

In my early 40’s, I began experiencing some health issues. Because of my health issues and the fact that I wanted to feel better without prescription drugs, I discovered food supplements could help.

One of the health issues I was noticing was no energy. Every day I found myself dragging through the day and having to take a nap on the couch before I could keep going. I was also experiencing night sweats and having to get up and change clothes which interrupted my sleep and wore on my nerves.   Since I couldn’t sleep well at night, I had trouble getting out of bed in the mornings. This was not a good scenario.

After a few weeks of this kind of living, I decided to see a doctor to hopefully find out what my problem might be.  After asking me some questions and doing a general check,  he said he was pretty sure  I was postmenopausal. Then without doing any kind of tests to back up what he thought it might be,  he wrote me a prescription drug to take even though I had asked for something natural to do.

As I was on my way back home, I felt anger stirring inside because he hadn’t at least tried to help me with something natural. So, at that time I decided to not have the prescription filled and search out a natural solution myself.

In search of finding a natural solution to help me get rid of my symptoms, I visited the herb stores and health food stores.  I tried several herbs that were recommended by the people who worked there.  I also had iridology tests to hopefully help further diagnose my problem.

I also visited the health food stores in search of natural solutions to my problems.  As with the herb stores, I called on the individuals working there for suggestions of their products that might help me. I willingly tried the ones they recommended in hopes they would help.

I tried the herbs and the vitamins that had been suggested for a few months but I couldn’t tell much of a difference.

It was during the time of trying the herbs and vitamins, that I had gone to another doctor who was highly recommended for a physical. This doctor put me on a hormone pill which she said should help with my problems. To my dismay, it just compounded my problem. I developed uncontrollable crying spells. This was by far much worse than any of my other symptoms. I was at my wit’s end.

Just when I was searching my brain as to what to do next, I got a call from a friend of mine who invited us over to her house to hear a presentation about some nutritional products that were guaranteed to help you feel better or your money back. Desperate as I was to find something natural that worked, I accepted the invitation.

After the presentation, I talked to the presenter about my symptoms of no energy, night sweats, and uncontrollable crying spells and asked for her advice. She suggested a program of high-quality products, Safe products, and proven by science and people, and  100% guaranteed.

Finally, my symptoms began to disappear after starting the program suggested to me. I was so excited, but I think my husband was more excited.

I feel very blessed to have found a natural way to improve my health.

It’s been almost 30 years and I feel better now than I did then.

5 Tips for Taking Food Supplements

  • Since only 28% of adults eat the recommended five servings of fruits and vegetables a day, supplementing bridges the gap.
  • Supplementation can have significant benefits on health.  For example, research has shown that alpha lipoic acid helps in the reduction of cholesterol, and the duration of cold symptoms may be reduced by taking vitamin C.
  • Supplementation can be a replacement for the nutrient losses that you might experience from pesticides and other chemicals in the environment.
  • Supplementing supports a healthy microbiome which makes up 70% of your immune system keeping you healthy.
  • Your ability to absorb nutrients decline as you age.

Finding the right supplements can enhance your health and lower the risk of certain diseases. Eating a well-balanced diet is very important in striving to get the essential nutrients that you need each day but supplements are a good health insurance policy because it’s almost impossible to get everything you need from food alone.
